Hello little blog, it's been a month now. Happy one month blogiversary!
"Begin Again" - this is what's on the first page of my current art journal. It reminds me to never give up, always keep going and if all else fails, then begin again! This is what this blog is about, a new beginning, a way to keep going with my art. It's been such a great month so far. I daresay this blogging thing has been the best thing for me. Connecting with other people, reading all your comments, and making new material for this blog - all of that makes me look forward to getting up in the morning and working on something. So if you're here and reading this, thank you!
I've been at this art thing for a while now in some form or the other. So today on my blog's one month anniversary, I thought I'd post a couple of old pages from my art journal. It's always good to look back once in a while.
Ever have colors that aren't exactly you? Well that's what this hummingbird page was about. I shy away from certain greens, particularly the minty ones. Here I thought I'd see what I could do with it. Most of the leaves and flowers are cut from pre-painted papers and collaged in.
Ah, project lists. I always have them. Tons of them. Short ones, long ones, themed ones. I can't seem to stop making them. Whenever I'm short on ideas, I try to find one of these. The trick, of course, is finding them. I have them all over my sketchbooks and journals. Hmm, now that I think about it, I need an index of some sort. But you see, I made this list in red in hopes that I'd find it a little easier. The fact that it's close to the front of the journal also helps immensely. Maybe I need to add a tab to it?

Love the first one. And I have a million project lists, too. :) All over the place!
Happy one month blogiversary!
I love the first work. The colors are lovely!
Thank you both! :)
