Supplies at the ready (big project upcoming)
Not raindrops and roses nor whiskers on kittens, but I love them.

"Pencils and brushes and ink pens and markers..." It sort of works when you sing it to the tune of "My Favorite Things." Which, coincidentally, is a happy movie memory from my childhood. Anyone else secretly like that movie?

I know, I was missing for a week. I had a very, very good reason. That's all behind me for now (yay!). So here we are, all back and glad to be so! Now I have new projects lined up. Exciting! So I have all my stuff at the ready. I have to admit, just seeing my art stuff makes me smile. The container on the left that says "art" is one of my favorites. I have two others like it and wish that I had more. Doesn't it seem like corralling your art supplies is an endless task? And then you add more things and all of a sudden another container is needed. This always seems to happen to me.

Looking at this photo just reminded me that I still have a few dozen more colored pencils to sharpen. I sharpen with a small hand sharpener until I can find one that works well. Although this sharpener is tempting me lately.

  1. Glad you're back! Sharpeners ARE important...and I agree with you about art supplies and containers and all. I try and keep mine organized by color...then they get jumbled up as I work...then I have to re-sort them...and so the cycle goes. Can't wait to see what you come up with!

You remembered me one of my favourite... songs :-)
I collect many pencils, and use Tea cup to organize them.
    Cute post! Bye

... slowly adding to my non existent art supplies myself! I want to have cups over flowing with an endless amount of pens, pencils and brushes. Why? Because they would make me smile :) x

Hi, glad you're back. I agree with you, pencils, bruches, pens and erasers make me smile too. Even as a little kid all my pocket money was spend on that sort of things.
I do love your container collection, still working on mine!
I hope you have a nice week!

Even your pictures of art *supplies* are art!

@Elizabeth - I've been meaning to get my pencils organized by color, but yes - they do seem to get jumbled up as you go. Still trying to get back in the swing of things. :)

@HB - You know I love your photos of your collections. :D

@lillalotta - I shall be patiently awaiting photos of these new supplies!

@JS Daniel - Yes! I got someone to sing it! *LOL* Also, I'm trying to get back into it. These past couple of weeks have been a bit of a challenge.

@Susan - I see you and I had the same problems when we were younger. I loved paper and pens and things back then too.

@The Dutchess - Haha...thanks! Your pics are very artful too. ;)
